Like many of the great stories regarding food and drink, Ambrosia’s begins in France. Paris, to be exact. Where chocolate is almost a religion. Where years ago, the “faithful” formed the Chocolate Appreciation Society (Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat), which requires credentials and a long waiting period to join.
We couldn’t help but be inspired by Parisians and their passion for the dark confection. Especially their European sipping chocolate. Yes, sipping chocolate. A drink experience so indulgent, so completely decadent, you can’t possibly rush through it. A deeply rich drink that demands small, slow sips (and often a spoon). One taste and we knew we had to bring this sweet sensation home to the North Country. Where the winters can be long and brutal. Where a relaxing, life-affirming cup of dark nectar would be greatly welcomed.
So after years of testing and tasting, we’ve arrived. With a recipe that is pure chocolate perfection. A deliciously luxurious drink—made here in Michigan with imported European chocolate—that would make any Parisian proud. One that you’ll find to be a chocolate indulgence like no other.

PREPARATION
Stir 1/3 cup of chocolate into 2/3 cup of piping hot milk.
For a more intense chocolate flavor and improved viscosity, refrigerate mixture overnight and reheat.
